Pros & Cons.

  • One of the nicest features, in my opinion, is CI/CD. I strongly recommend you to use it regardless of whether you work as a team or as an individual.
  • Their search for well-coded open-source projects is quick and uncomplicated. The Github actions are good to have, and all of the extras you receive for free are fantastic.
  • Integration with other platforms is simple, collaboration is excellent, and pull requests are useful.
  • Downtime on Github is always inconvenient for developers. A botched merge is extremely tough to undo.
  • When you first start using it, it can be a little daunting and intimidating. It appears to be far more complicated than it is.
  • The only negative aspect I can think of is the one time in years when the website went down for a few minutes, but then it came back up and I was able to return to work.
