SkyCiv Structural 3D Software Reviews, Demo, and Pricing 2024.

SkyCiv Structural 3D is a structural analysis program that is used by civil, structural, and mechanical engineers, as well as architects and academics. Users may use the program to create structural models and study shear, bending, deflection, stress, and other variables. The platform is entirely cloud-based, allowing users to access their work and data at any time using a web browser.

Users may design and solve complicated 3D structures using analysis on almost any structure. Deflection (with X, Y, Z sum translations and X, Y, Z rotations), bending moment diagrams (BMD), shear force diagrams (SFD), axial forces, torsion, stress analysis, and complete buckling are all analytical capabilities in SkyCiv Structural 3D.

Engineers may use SkyCiv Structural 3D to visualize their constructions using a strong 3D renderer, as well as see how the structure will appear and deflect using colour contours. Users may analyze the geometry of the structure and spin around the 3D model from any aspect for a comprehensive structural examination.

SkyCiv allows users to save and load sections from a library of standard sections from the United States, Europe, Australia, and the United Kingdom, as well as choose from a variety of beam sections such as rectangular/square, hollow rectangular/square, hollow circular, circular, channel sections, I-section, L-section, T-section, and triangular. Users may also build a new section and choose from a drop-down selection of predefined materials for rapid entry.

SkyCiv Structural 3D allows customers to see and export the structural analysis text files, allowing them to focus on the results they want via unique screenshots. The solution’s distinct “single member” feature enables users to activate only key elements for an easier-to-read diagram appearance. Users can also save screenshots for use in reports as well as personal records. Users may save all files to their SkyCiv account, which can then be organized via a smart file manager.

Pros & Cons.

PROS.

  • It is beneficial for assessing a built-up steel section and provides good visualization. Everything is kept on their cloud, which is a convenient feature.
  • Both the simplicity of use and the display of the data are fantastic.
  • Easy to learn, extremely adaptable, excellent customer service, and the opportunity to request bespoke materials.

CONS.

  • The types of structural analysis available are limited.
  • Analysis output often takes a large number of pages, and I dislike having too many with information that most people would never use.
